We aim to be at the forefront of coordinating and shaping society’s response towards gender based violence and gender empowerment. Through our pioneer programme, Okwuí Mask Scheme we provide rehabilitative services and strategies to inspire survivors.
Awareness and Education
Our resource department develops programmes that provide information to recognise the different faces of gender-based violence. We run awareness social afternoons to get citizens to recognise and seek help as appropriate in times of danger.

Advocacy Against Gender Based Violence
We work in countries where laws protecting citizens are not sufficiently implemented or non-existent by influencing lawmakers and government bodies to strengthen the process of making laws and judicial operations that directly relate to gender based violence and to protect its citizens and ensure that law enforcement agencies act appropriately and promptly.
Economic Empowerment
We propose to build wealth in societies where there is an inefficient system for financially empowering citizens. “Foster A Woman” is a business empowerment project where we start businesses for survivors of domestic violence while providing a year long mentorship till they are back on their feet. This project has seen women benefit start and sustain fashion houses, poultry, bakeries and shops. We continue to aspire to build a sustainable wealth to support the families we support.

Gender Based Violence Support
Our ‘Kick start with Okwui’ packs is a project designed to offer support to amazing female survivors who are fleeing their homes and seeking a succour in a hostel or refuge due to gender based violence. These packs contain items that not only meet individual basic needs but, jumpstart the road to recovery
